Haven’t got my glasses on but think it shows Ko Lanta and Ko Phi Phi
We were going to go snorkelling again but only wanted to do half day. Unfortunately Ko Rok the nearest site for snorkelling is 1 hr by speedboat and therefore only do full day excursions. As our last day before flying back to Bangkok we want today to be fairly leisurely. Hence more bathing and relaxing around the pool - just what the doctor ordered.
Finally went snorkelling on Kantiang beach. Guides say there are some fish to see but I couldn’t find any despite snorkelling up and down the bay. TBH I just enjoyed snorkelling and finding anything underwater became a bonus , ie bits of seaweed, shells, old anchor……
Think we have had a bit too much sand, our faces are like belicia beacons!
His wild swimming sounds idyllic - no polluted rivers or near drowning. Unlike our experience of wild swimming he has not had the pleasure of swimming past a bloated dead sheep :)
Sad to hear that he died of a brain tumour 5 years ago. He was only 63. However shortly before his death he had finished writing a book about trees - I will download this to the kindle. Trees are very special - I love feeling their bark :)
Just chillin in our hammocks at Drunken Sailor after another exhausting day of sunbathing around the pool and snorkelling off the local beach - someone has to do it π
Stu promised we could go snorkelling around local Kantiang beach today. Then he said after swimming in pool , now this afternoon , now late afternoon ……. I am bored :( the tropical fish are waiting for me!
Am loving her quirky, eccentric but humorous manner - very refreshing :)
Our hotel’s restaurant is called Red Alert. Unusual name, sounds like a tsunami warning.
We had delicious Som Tam (green papaya salad), Padang and mosaman curries and jasmine rice.
Tried my second glass of wine. Must confess I am tiring of Singh/Chang beer. Wine still not right, meant to be an Australian Chardonnay but tastes poor - may have to give up on this front :(
